This question has probably been kicked to death on here, but I used to be able to find the women's tournaments, or at least some old classic pool, but I can't find anything anymore. You can find hour after hour of poker, but I can't even find anything using the search function on Comcast for pool. Just curious, somebody make somebody mad or something?

Yep, you're right, it's :deadhorse:

Look up some history of the PBT the Camel Tour, that's about when things wend bad for pool on TV.

Aside from the better exposure for pro players and maybe some awareness of the sport as a skilled thing, you can find more pool than you can watch in your lifetime on the internet, even live with top players.
Tune in tonight at 9 for this http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=353700 as an example.

About the only pool related stuff on TV anymore is the trick shot magic on espn2. But on the internet pool is thriving. Check out the streams.

Yeah, I know, I find a lot on the internet, but was just curious as to what happened to it on the boob tube. Did the pool gods pull the plug in favor of the big "I", or did TV give pool the axe?

I think it is more the availability of a quality product. It cost money to put a tournament on tape. Other then average to bad quality productions like you see on the net, there isn't much pool out there on tape to even peddle to TV.
