What Happening With USBA?????

As USBA tournaments, news, results are hardy reported or mention on AZBilliards by their members????

Is USBA losing ground in the Billiards World?

Firstly, thanks for your recent posting of good information. Having been on the board for about two terms it would be inappropriate for me to make disparaging remarks. Let me instead turn the tables around (pun intended) to it's members. Members in part deserve the organization that represent them. There are more than a handful of members that have done yeoman's work through the years to help promote our beautiful sport. We know who they are without having to name them. You are one of them. If not enough members clamor for change, the status quo will remain. Sometimes the threat of a new organization is appropriate. We shall see.
 
Here is a post I made on Kozoom's discussion group. Although I don't lay the blame at the feet of our confederation I believe there is some value in what I wrote.

"I share Pavlos's opinion about looking ahead and infusing new ideas into the organization. My experience with Kozoom has almost always been positive and I don't feel they are interjecting themselves into the political arena and it is not in their best interest. I trust both Mr. Farouk Barki and Mr. Torsten Danielsson have the best motives in highlighting our beautiful sport. But at the end of the day I agree with Pavlos that new blood is necessary. In the U.S. we are poorly represented in our confederation. However it is not the fault of our confederation per se. The U.S. shares a different language, culture, and carom environment. For that reason and more if the UMB would like the U.S. to have a more robust carom community it needs representation that reflects itself. I think the U.S. not having a World Cup in Vegas each year is due in part from a wasteland of non-representation."
 
Thank Steve for your comments. I remember when I would received email almost every month .. now I might get one every 6 months. I never did understand why USBA never talk about the Korean 4 Balls Billiards (Bida) community, but list their 4 x 8 billiards tables.. The game will alway be here,. whether there is a USBA or not. Even if USBA Feet and Hands are Bound what stopping them from growing stronger, than weaker.
