"What I'd like to see at Super Billiards Expo is..."

I see several posters above list "music" as something that should be added, Really? Why? Why is it out of all the sports out there that people think music should be playing during the course of a Billiards event. Do you hear music in the background of any other sporting event such as golf or tennis which require similar concentration levels while the competitors are competing?

I have never understood why our sport, one that requires an inordinate amount of concentration to play and compete at the highest levels constantly has music blaring as a back drop at most events giving a carnival like atmosphere instead of the quiet it deserves so competitors can concentrate on what they're doing. You people spend too much time drinking on league nights in bars with jukeboxes.

Just my two cents on this. When people say music I don't think they mean AC/DC or Flo Rida blaring out of the jukebox like at a bar. I think they mean some music at a reasonably low volume to cover up some of the background noise and awkward quiet that can happen at pool tournaments. It can be harder to concentrate when it is dead quiet and you can hear some dude across the room telling his buddy what happened when he was hammered last night, or somebody drops their cue and it echos across the room.

They shouldn't allow RV's or Motor homes to park in the front lot. There were a few that were taking up 4 spots in the main entrance parking lot.

I totally agree with this.. they can park in the back lot. I would do this with out being told but I was raised with common courtesy and manners. Most people anymore are not.

To all the people saying food trucks I would love to see it but it's not going to happen. Allen has no control over the food and the expo is not going to allow a food truck to sit out front and take there easy money or if they did the amount of money they would demand for rent and a portion of your sales they would take (as these places normally do would not make it worth while. I ate at the expo 3 times simply because I didn't want to lose my parking space and convience. The food wasn't terrible but of course over priced.

Between Tap and the tournament's it was near impossible to find an open table. Could split it up into two separate events.

Sunday is the best day to find a table.

i know everyone is there for pool. but i can see everything in one day. first thing you need is a different source of entertainmet, for kids and adults. something that would please both pool and nonpool players alike. challenges. defintely better food. last time i was there there was some hispanic lady selling empanadas, she made more money in four days that she makes in three months. if youre a pool purist and disagree than youre the problem. get a poker tournament going where the winner gets a tascarella or a nice custom. shit like that. and definetly get rid of TAP. league players on league events are intelorable.
Empanada lady was at Edison Expo. Wife and I still talk about her lol.

I would like to see calling the nine. There's no reason to have a "slop" win in a tournament.
Absolutely! And in the MOSCONI TOO btw!

NO music needed. (and I'm a musician)

I agree completely.
In pool, there seems to be too many "honky tonk angels" just crying for that jukebox.
You don't see that stuff at those British snooker tournaments or at the Chinese tournaments either.
(In a gambling den, like in the Philipines, I guess it's all different)

Glad they brought back VIP.
They used to have music in the background at the Expo fyi.
Rearrange seating for the finals. (3 sides) They used to do this too. Allen said they may do this again next yr.
Have enough beads above the tables for a true running score! Simple.

Bring back Scott the Shot for TD!
It's great when he announces players, hometown, nickname, and sponsors.
Also calls out when a match is hill hill.
Frank is very inconsistent.

Bring back the charity event!
Some of my favorite memories are shooting with the pros in that fun event.

He is very inconsistent on a lot of things especially the rules.

Love music while I'm playing - so long as it isn't country. So, I guess thats the problem with music, not everybody is gonna like it.
The right music for each person is calming

I think the reasoning for music for this event wouldn't be that people want to hear tunes as much as it would mask some of the bangin' and clangin' going on in the bleachers.
