A homogenous mixture, of two or more substances. At least, that's what they taught me in chemistry.

Yeah, I know.....not much help.

But welcome to the forum.

so·lu·tion
/səˈlo͞oSHən/

noun
  1. 1.
a means of solving a problem or dealing with a difficult situation.
"there are no easy solutions to financial and marital problems"
  2. 2.
a liquid mixture in which the minor component (the solute) is uniformly distributed within the major component (the solvent).
"a solution of ammonia in water"

This puts me at an awkward loss of smilies.

Is it 'of' or 'for' ? Words would be "for" I think. Any grammatical rule for smilies?

a solution is something that happens at the end of a problem, if all goes well.

i dont know why or how bob jewett has two of these but i am certainly invested now in finding out how and why.

please, either of you, proceed.

Well, assuming you can see some kind of checkbox by his post, which answers your question, more or less, you can promote @loggerhead12 to the rank of Multi-Solution Wizard.
