What is a spliced shaft?

Hula hoop ain’t dead! I just bought one, so it’s limping along I guess.

They say white boys got no rhythm, we’re about to find out.

I guess a spliced shaft is supposed to cut down on the possibility of strange happenings within a single piece of solid wood. Get several sections from different pieces and put them together so they balance off each other and maybe benefit from hybrid vigor ; )

Supposed to take grain variation out of play. Problem is a lot of them feel stone dead. I thought the Jacoby multi-piece was just numb feeling. Same for the last 314 i hit. I like Mezz's idea, use solid maple and lighten the front end. I have two and both play great. Grain isn't an issue to me. Always used solid shafts.

Sold it when I didn’t think I could play anymore. And practicing with house cues is making me sad. I’m a grown up who can buy a cue if she wants. That’s the nice thing about being an adult. I can also eat ice cream for breakfast and watch tv until midnight. Except I fall asleep at 10 regardless. Because I’m old.
Slow down, lady.

We have standards around here and I'm not sure ice cream for breakfast is condoned.

Before league last night, my team captain borrowed my cuetec 12.5 cf shaft. Then I let him use my new ob raven which he brought back asking for the cuetec. He won his match with it and said sold. I'm 70 and he's a few months older. It is a bit late to say he bought the hoopla.

Weird, huh? Maybe because I’m just starting to play a bit again after like a 10 or 15 year hiatus. Some people here probably remember me.

You kids have made this game so complicated with all your new fangled technology. I just can’t keep up.
Wow, you actually registered here on AZB in 2006! That's 2 years before I did.

Assuming you are on a Windows computer, right-click the image, select Edit, will open it in Paint. Click resize on top left area of the toolbar, select 50 in both height and width, save it as another name so you don't over-write the first one, upload that image.
Besides needing a puter and software such as Faststone photo resize or Paint, here’s a hack:

Upload it to Facebook (assuming you’re a user). FB will automatically resize it. Post it to your timeline. Then download it from the post. It has a good chance of being small enough to post here.

Then delete the superfluous post on FB.

I think you stopped posting right about the time that Predator and their product were just starting to get into a lot of our forum discusssions. Especially Thomas Wayne’s “Rosabelle Believe” post.

Welcome back, Laura.
