The 63"/23 oz. cue is what Earl was using in recent tournaments. But I have read that for this match on a 5'x10' table he upped the length to 70". I don't know the weight, but the maximum allowable weight under WPA (world-standardized) equipment spec's is 25 oz. Since it's a 2-man challenge match, I guess they can ignore any particular official rules and allow anything that is agreeable to both players.

They have been saying that it is a 58" cue with a 12" extension for 70" total. I would say that Earl has a foot of it behind his right hand at any given time except on stretch shots, where it really comes in handy. He is really shooting fantastic , incredibly actually !

That table is messing with Shane's normal game with it's brutally tight pockets and the length, but Earl is shooting like it's 9' and this is "The Color of Money II". SVB has made a comeback from the earlier 15 game deficit to 10. The question is IMHO, will Earl avoid a meltdown on day 3 ? SVB is spotting Earl 10 games to 40 and Earl is playing lights out. We are def getting our money's worth. Thanks TAR :thumbup:

PS: 70 inches, 26 ounces. He is wearing ear muffs (think shooting range) to drown out crowd chatter and anlke weights on his left arm. (dont ask me what that is for???)
