How do you test a cue stick to see if it is in great condition as far as "roll"? Is it strictly watching the tip when you roll it to see it it comes up off the pool table at all? Because I did that and it doesn't move around at all. However, when you look at daylight under the cue stick there is clearly changes as it rolls.

Edit: This question is in regards to a Meucci original from approx 1975 - a MO11

Doesn't matter what the cue is.

If the tip comes off the table, that is bad.
Most cues that I have seen do have taper roll (daylight). But this should not affect the play at all.
From what I hear, collectors do not even like the taper roll, but I'm not a collector, so don't want to speak for them.
