What is in your pool kit? Like what do you carry when you just want to go play pool?

One thing I would like to have I let go of was JW Hager Extension, finger sooner or later they will shoe up
On eBay, from someone who took great idea, and made better.

Don’t talk too loud about money you carry, and let say Pool room have been know you attract those who like playing stick up

I've been hanging around pool rooms since I was 17, 51 now. What I've come to understand in this state is most everyone is armed, and most everyone has everyone else's back. Other than a few fights never had a problem.

So I'm not really asking what you carry in your pool case. I'm wondering like what are the basic necessities you would carry with you if you were going to go out with some friends and you might end up playing pool at some point in time that night? I just put together my kit. Because maybe this weekend I might be playing one game of pool with someone. And my kit includes an ID a couple dollars in quarters a couple dollars in cash and earplugs. Now that does not include my stick or my glove actually I don't have a glove at the moment and my stick is at my relative's house because I'm upset with pool at the moment so when I go play pool with this relative I will probably have them bring the stick. Or we might just play with the sticks at the bar. But anyways what does your kit look like?
Without my gear? A tip tapper/tip shaper to fix whatever local house cue I also have to straighten. :)

Most everyone is armed? You're in Chicago?
So when we retired we moved to Virginia from New Jersey. Early on we're driving and my wife says how the drivers here are so courteous, they let you in and never give you the finger. I was laughing, she asks what's so funny? I explain here in Virginia everyone's carrying a gun. "A well armed society is a courteous society" I fit right in.

I carry a 1 x 2 case with a playng cue and shaft, jump shaft and the jump butt in an exterior pouch. I have a tip pik also. I used to tote my 3 x 7 Instroke loaded up . I only take it out now if I am going to a place where I might sell a cue. I have some shoulder issues and the Instroke seems to weigh a ton some days.

1x1 at the minimum. Sneaky Pete in the case. That's it.

If I'm going somewhere with more than just pool tables (carom or tournaments) I'll bring a 2x4 with a pool cue and a billiard cue.

After my first post I've been going through my cases and I've decided enough is enough.
Now, all I'm gonna tote is my GTF 1x2, (with no pockets), Willard's dime on my keyring,
Qwiz in my billfold. I ain't even bringing my brand new chunk of Taom Pyro.

One thing I carry that no one mentioned...
A Green Logo Aramith ball. I can temporarily trade out the mud ball. If the table is open, I also carry an Aramith Red logo ball.

Other then that...
A microfiber towel
Tip burnisher
Leather shaft burnisher

I’ve seen the guns come out once and 2 other nights I missed them by a couple hours. Was the coke dealers in the 80’s. Seen a few fights. 2 times someone got hurt pretty bad-but they lived.

Once I had a bunch of guys come after me because I beat their friend for his car $, he started drinking again and I took his girl home(she slept on the couch & I didn’t know it was his girl). A bunch of other guys saved my ass. The long version of this is on AZB somewhere. That’s the only problem I ever had that materialized. There was a potential problem with another guy again coke dealer in the 80’s and funny enough I never even tried it once or sold it. If I did, I’d admit it. That was a fun era in pool, but it did have its problems.

I always keep a gun in the car, thank goodness I’ve never needed it once ever. I never took a gun into the pool room.

I started going to pool rooms in 85. I’ve been in the best & worst places possible all over America and lots in other countries.
