What is Pool’s Equivalent of a Hole-In-One in Golf?

In Darts, my equivalent would be going out on 180, on the sixth round. Wasn't all luck, but highly unlikely for me to throw a ton 80.

My best pool match was a race to four. I lost the first two games after a grueling 45 minutes. Opp takes a bathroom break. I realize that I am not chewing gum, which helps me relax, so I popped one in. Opponent's only shots on the next five games are three dry breaks. I scratched on the 8 game four (needed about two more inches of cloth) to go down 1 -3. Was in a zone that weekend, except for two games.

Danny DiLiberto tells the story of his 9-Ball match many years ago facing Young Greenleaf, Danny Gartner.
It was a race to 9.
Winner breaks, loser racks the balls.
Diliberto is leading the match 8-3.
Gartner won the next game to make it 8-4.
Danny D racked the balls and Young Greenleaf made the 9 on the break 5 times in a row to win the match, 9-8.
In tournament play, I've seen the 9-Ball made three times in a row on the snap.
In non-tournament play, I've seen four in a row.
I've never witnessed or seen on tape five in a row.
With the templates that are now used in racking, the 9-Ball is not made as frequently as it was in the past using the wooden rack.

My most memorable pool match was in our weekly 9-ball tournament finals, race to 4, true double elimination. In the first set the player from the loser’s bracket ran out the set without missing a shot, opponent might have missed one shot. In the second set the exact opposite happened as the player in the hot seat ran out the set without missing a shot. Maybe 1 or at the most 2 total missed shots in the 8 games between both players. That’s the way a final match should go, but rarely ever does.

I used to play pool with a wonderful older gentleman who was a fine golfer (19 times his club champion) and also a fine straight pool player (multiple 100 ball runs). There is a plaque in his club for making two hole-in-ones on the same round. This is obviously very rare.
I have made 6 balls on a 9-ball break and actually finished the run out. I do believe this is more a factor of the way the balls are racked rather than my ability to crush the rack.
Hope everyone has a Happy New Year and a better 2021.

Making all 3 on the break in 3 ball would be the equivalent. 3 ball is played like’the skins game’. 4 strokes is par, 3 birdie, 2 eagle and all on the break a hole in one on a par 4. I have only one ace and several eagles.
This could be the hole in one range....watching a three ball game once....9-foot...I started laying 50-1 on making all three....made a couple hundred...nobody came close...two good players in the game..
I also used to offer 50-1 on freezing a lag on a 6x12...never had to pay.

On a big table?? I'd kinda agree with that. I've seen seven made on a bar-box a few times and a bunch of fives.
I’ve made seven on a 9-foot GC....but the table played great...760 Simonis....lost the game..had to push on the 5-ball.
I’ve had one ace on a par three.

I made the 9 on the break three times in a row just a few years back. All three of them went into the left corner pocket. My opponent was racking with a wooden rack on a 9-foot Gold Crown.

Same thing was done to me by my opponent in our weekly 9-ball tournament that we host and I’m the TD for. The following week and ever since we’ve used templates - it will never happen again!

Lol! Jose Parica did that to me in a race to five one time!
