I don't know what the lowest end Lucasi is now, but a few years ago you could pick one up for that. Damn Lucasi's are a really decent cue.

I got the Lucasi Sneaky Pete as my first real playing cue for like $119 from an online store. This was a cool looking cue, It didn't look sneaky from up close but it did look nice with the MOP inlays at the points and the forearm looked slightly holograpic which was kool.

Two Scruggs sneakys for $120 (each?) ? Josey with 314 for $120 ? Darn. Why don't I ever get myself into these situations... I would love to buy a Bender for $200, DPK/Kersenbrock for $220 and a Southwest for $250 :D

My friend wanted to offload the cue because he has too many. The pete was his 'gambling' cue. It's plain josey that looks almost like a house cue. My friend even sanded off the glossy finish, the Josey signature, and the 314 mark at the end of the shaft. So in terms of condition it's not at the best condition it can be for a used cue. However, it comes with a almost new moori tip, no dents on the shaft, and is absolutely straight. It's a great gambling stick, because unless your opponent's slightly knowledgeable about cues, he wouldn't be able to tell it's not a house cue.

Duh. I sometimes mistake myself for a well-seasoned and experienced player... at the tender age of 27 :D

Actually you may be a well-seasoned and experienced player at 27, but you still don't remember when gas was under 20 cents a gallon, penny candy cost a penny, or a Scruggs SP was 120 bucks. :D
Trust me though, I'll trade you all those memories for being 27 anytime. :) What a year that was, fresh out of the service, in college in the heydey of FREE love prior to the mordern plethora of STDs. :D On top of all that we still believed there was hope for the world. Of course that may have been an artifact of being 27, not of the times.

If any one wants a scruggs sneaky pete just go to his site click on sneaky pete there you will see information for Bob Frey CALL HIM!!! HE was the one that made the sneaky petes for timmy! He wanted to go out on his own thats why scruggs doesnt make them any more. They are still very good friends.

EDIT---- You can get one for $150-$250 depending on what you want.

The best was a Schon that cost me $110. I used it for 20 years until a jerk replaced the ferrule so it could use screw on tips. He was recommended as doing a great job of replacing tips. He said that he always does this so the tips can be changed easier?????

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!! That is the funniest thing I have ever heard!!!! Are you serious?? if so do not ever take you cue back to this guy!!!

The Fury DL are good for a low price. The NR are slightly more than $120 and feature real inlays rather than decals.

Here is what you should have done.
1) Yell as many obscenities about him, his wife, his children and his mother as you can think of.
2) Find an blunt object.
3) You should be able to figure it out from here.

I think if someone tried hard enough, they could make the moori screw on for you, if you really want one for that phillippi.

I guess i just don't have as much time as you do :p

And the best cue i've played with for $120?
A Viking VM24 that i replaced the ferrule (and the tenon, it had the tiny metal screw holding the ferrule.)
I paid $35 for it.
A couple of days after i bought it the guy THEN asks me if he sold it too cheap.
I told him i've worked on it a little bit, i'll sell it for $75 :D
When i get time, i'm going to replace the joint collars (that implex shit) with black phenolic, or maybe a thin wall SS. Replace the quick release 5/16 pin with a 3/8.
It should hit better after that.
And if i really get bored, i'll re-wrap it and maybe even refinish it just for the hell of it.
Then it would actually have cost me more than $120, so it wouldn't be eligible for this thread anyway.
Why am i still typing?
I can barely keep my eyes open and i'm posting on this damn thread?!?!?!?!?!?!
I think mike is slipping something in the coffee...

I won't argue. :D
And who said that not having a life is a bad thing?
If you have no life, what could possibly go wrong? :D

GREAT...let's start right here. I want a Big Jon cue....300 pieces of ivory...4 veneers, ivory spears at the top of each point (8 points). Turquoise and abalone in addition to the ivory...full leather wrap and ivory joint.

I'll pay $120 plus S&H however, I might go as high as $150. Start turnin' those babies over. Get that sign set up outside your place like McDonalds showing how many cues you've sold each day. :p :D

I don't know that it really qualifies since I paid $100 and donated the time to build a computer for the cue maker, but....
A custom made sneaky pete by Jason Nichols...
This cue hits as good as any schon that I've had my hands on, and since quite a few of my friends shoot with mid to high end shons...I've shot with a few.

I'll tell ya, that damn shmelke that I bought for 79 bucks new has to be one of the best shooting cues under 120 that I have ever shot with. And being a former cheap ass, I've shot with a ton. all I had to do is put a good tip on it and it was real solid. It had that funky all brass joint that was like 3 inches long
