What is the best value sneaky Pete?

Well my price range is up to the low 200s I was just wondering if a cue in that price range is really that much better to justify the extra $100 to $150 or so.

Thanks

If you are just going to play on a bar table (7 foot), a Players, J&J, Kaiser, or Action is just fine. You'd only have to spend $50.

But if you want to play on a 9 foot table, you'll need something better with power breaks, power steering, and cruise control. A Joss purpleheart sneaky pete or any of the cheaper Joss cues would be good.

You'd probably have to pay around $175.

Usually a cheap cue is just fine for a bar table, but on a big table, you'll need a more expensive cue for a better follow and draw on the cue ball.

Word of warning...

I bought a custom sneaky, and for the past several months, its been my main player! I did upgrade my tip to an everest, and its been really hard to lay it down! So... Use Caution.. You may not wanna pick up your other cues again!! (ok you will... Eventually)

I have 2 sneakies:
My custom made by Mark "The Cue Guy" (semi fancy, with hoppe ring on butt)

Huebler, which is totally a genuine sneaky cue! For the money range you can't go wrong here! (demand is med-high right now cause he is done building cues)

Yup.

The Hueblers were really good...and the prices are going up fast.

The Dufferins were also very good (Hueblers were better IMHO) and are going up, but not as fast as the Hueblers.

If you can snag a nice Huebler sneaky for a good price, now is the time. I ahve already seen them go for silly high prices occasionally.

Have a PH Dufferin being converted right now. Won't get to play with it for a while, so didn't include it because I don't know yet. I did like the way it played as a 1 pc though!

Huebler still has my vote $125-$150 most places, but check pawn shops out! I bought miner for <$100

there was a used sneaky done by Lil Al Romero in the wanted/forsale section that was going for like $250. The bonus is that you can always resell the used sneaky by a custom cue maker that has a good reputation for about the same or even more than you paid for it. With a used production sneaky you take the depreciation hit with no shot of seeing appreciation ever.

That's good advice there.

I have a PH Dufferin as well that I will eventually have converted. Great cues for conversion.

.I think you naled it with the Hueblers. I have seen them even go over $150 and push the $200 range, but usually they are in the range you are saying. On a good day you can still find one cheap if you are in the right place at the right time.
