One whole year of 7 ranking events in the champion division here in Finland. Won 1 event, once I was 2nd, couple of semifinals. I played well in every single match of the season, worst defeats through the season were 7-5 and 9-7 while I was beating top players left and right in every event. Secured my European Pool Championships spot in the last ranking event winning Marko Lohtander 7-6 running 3 racks twice in that match. What was amazing that in almost every practice session (I played maybe twice a week) I was in dead stroke every time from the first shot on. I just didn't play bad at all for a year. I cannot describe the feeling being confident on my game every time I picked up a cue. Cannot also tell why was that and haven't been able to copy that feeling of superiority ever since.
Well, my records are 5 racks in both 8- and 9-ball and 85 in 14.1 in practice and 74-out unfinished in a tournament match race to 75. This 74 ball run was one of those "perfect" Sigel -like runs, never ran out of position and never had to guess what was going to happen, everything happened as I wanted. Three times I've made a ball from a 1pocket break and twice has run out the rack.
