What is the difference between Hercek and Rauenzahn full spliced cue?

This post is incredible to me. In business terms, Joel has a 10 year lead time based on work in progress. That's an amazing back log of orders. And the fact that you have an order with him that you haven't discussed with him since 2005.

I am not quite sure I understand what you are inferring. By "incredible" are you saying that I stated something that is not credible or are you just saying that the fact that I chose this day to follow up with him is very ironic, the term that I used in my post, since it had been so long?

I am not sure why I would be questioned about something I said as I have never been one to exaggerate or lie about anything on this forum. If by some chance you are unsure about the legitimacy of my original statement, I can understand why but I also can assure you that what i stated was true. The fact that I am even typing this makes me wonder why I care if you think I lied or not, I should just blow it off but some things annoy me. Calling my character into question is one of them.

BTW- I have an order with Laurie @ SW, put that on the book in 2004. I chose the same day to call and talk to her as well, first time since.... well....2004.

Hercek is just a better investment at this present moment and probably in the future.
Why the questioning haste? Is there someone not happy with his/her investment.
What are you wishing you could sell your collection for more $$$. So you own a few cues from a particular cue maker. Do you really need to compare them to one of the guys at the pinnacle of the game.
What were you really trying to accomplish. Do an advertisement for your investment on it's own merit.

I am not the one who started the post.

.........

Strong intro with the Masonic cue. I was feeling put in my place.
Then what was that Kryptonic fail. Do you cross dress as Lois Lane, and troll for a game of 9ball at Comic con with that?
Then two nice cues to average things out.
Congratulations.

Nice. To know hercek does "some " good work. Also by your logic maybe I should get a cue with fish on it so I can carry it around while I am trolling for fishes like you.

I find it funny that someone who thinks high end cues arent worth it is driving a 55 t-bird (basically a high end cue Iin the car world, not my taste but I understand why)compared to basic transportation (basic playing cue). People have different passions, cars, cues, watches etc. On another note, the person who started this thread had to know it would eventually go in the gutter.:D

Good Post. That's it in a nut shell. I mean, will not a 1993 Toyota Corrolla do the same job as the Tbird? Do they both start, and get you from point A to point B. Why pay tens of thousands of dollars for one over the other ?

And if this is about speed, then will not most modern cars beat the doors off an old Tbird, thus it must be about something else... hmmm, what could it be. I know what it is,, it's on the tip of my tongue :)

Alright, I will try this without insults. I understand wasting money on stuff. I have that bird that I drive so little it almost isn't worth having. But I love it more than almost anything.I collect old fishing reels that some have cost 700 dollars (wtf is wrong with me?) and will never see a drop of water. I get it.
Here's the difference. If another enthusiast of were to point out you wouldn't need to spend that kind of money and time, you can have abc and still have a collection of reels, or I like this model better than that model I wouldn't judge. Now I could, pull my snob card and play the this model and year, and if you were a "serious" collector, and if you knew what you were talking about. Your spelling is bad so that makes your point invalid, and if you had the money I had you would by the same reels, your just jealous, and blah, blah, blah.
I don't pull that card. Why, because the guy could be right. I would never imply in any direct or subtle way that someones collection and opinion or are worth any less than mine because he doesn't have what I have. There are reels in my collection, and other things in my life for that matter that aren't needed. I don't justify them I just enjoy them.
I am proud of what I have, but I'm humble and not judgmental.

Sorry, my post wasn't clear. Instead of writing (this post is incredible to me) I was really trying to say (this post is a testament to the quality of Joel's work). Peace..
