What is the one weak point in your pool game?

Have you tried to get rid of this weak point, or work on doing better with it? Will your game improve to where you want it to be without this weak point in it? Thank you for your input. Maybe a post by someone in this thread might show you a way to get rid of the weak point!
Many Regards,
Lock N Load.

not consistent as much as I need to be, I can compete with the best in my hall and beat them a set or 2 more than them but then I can have a day or week where I cant win, even to easier opponents more than 3 games..

I have only been playing for 15 months though.

The weak part of my game is my brain.
I have tried to sell it, and tried to upgrade it to 1.25, but no luck.
I guess I'm stuck with it?

Shooting a 90% shot when I have a 100% safe....... It's really funny that I can watch a pro match and call every single shot and safe and be right on 9 out of 10 shots but when it's me at the table I shoot shots I know they would have played safe on...... After the fact LOL

So maybe it's my PSR that's my weakness.. Maybe my tempo playing is way faster than the PSRs the pros have developed.... Until shot clocks are everywhere I likely HAVE to find a way to slow down and do a better job of evaluating options.........

One word - CONCENTRATION and FOCUS. Okay that's two words!

Actually it is the lack of the two that kill me.... This is why I miss an easy one, or fail to get easy shape, or make bad decisions during the course of a run.

So, I TRY to maintain focus on each and every shot throughout a rack. And try, and try ....

My game peaks just before the lag. Everything after is generally disappointing.

The 1 weak area in my game is the fact that I have 5 or 6 weak areas. :frown:

Whenever I play in an enviornment with cry babies, loudmouths, thieves, strung out drug addicts, and criminals, it ruins the game for me every time and I find it hard to concentrate.

Even though I had already been an established local player winning many tournaments in the small pond, I had one area that I really needed to do something to improve to be more competitive in the bigger area not just state wide but in any area. So, I did. And it helped. A lot.

Freddie <~~~ but I can't say what it was in the Main Forum

How do you win tournaments - local or otherwise - if you can't aim properly?

If you are trolling, I have no desire to answer you. Seriously. You're style of posting precedes you.

Anyone who understands this game knows what I mean.

This is me to a "T"!

I know I have this problem and at times I make a conscious effort to correct it, but after awhile I slip back into my old hurried ways. I need to find that balance between playing fast and loose where I miss obvious plays and slow and over thinking where I let my head creep in and ruin everything!

@Ratta, If you got any advice that you could share I would appreciate it!

Focus. When my mind is right I'm hard to beat. Unfortunately I get in my own way too often.

Man, a lot of precious people about here. I understand the game and don't know what you mean.

You said, to paraphrase, you'd won local tournaments, but in order to spread your wings, you had to learn something else, something which cannot be discussed in the main forum, ie aiming. So, how did you win local tournaments if you couldn't aim properly?

A perfectly reasonable question, I'd have thought?

This was my biggest problem too, so I stopped playing with my family! :D

I bribed the tournament director. Plus I was winning the "Best Dressed" award.
