What is the value for this cue?

Slightly Used cue. How much do you think the market value of this cue is?
I'm not going to mention the cue-maker of the cue.

Picture taken off. Do not want thread to become controversial.

its from one of american-made cue. Not from the phillippine. Not going mention name, to safe guard cue-makers reputation.

It's no Gina that's for sure.

It's not a Gina. The butt cap is not ivory but the rest is. Under valued cue makes cue maker image looks bad that the reason for not disclosing it.

Ok,no name of cuemaker supplied,I'd say about 200 bucks then:D :D

i dont see that logic of not revealing the maker. As u know a four pointer from Epiritu, and a 4 pointer frm Szamboti, price difference is about 4k? So how are we gonna quantify the cue for u if u dont reveal the maker? Besides, i dont see how the cuemaker could suffer his image, IMHO this cue looks nice(though no doubt its Rasputinish).. and showcase his goodwork. So many of the cuemakers has been discussed , and on record here.

If u must, then I guess a insurance value of what u paid for would be fair.

Can you post the entire butt inlcuding the points and the joint?

Can you provide more specific specs on the cue? Weight, thread, joint type, wood, and etc.?

Are we playing twenty questions here? You're asking people to put a value on a cue for you and you won't show the entire cue or name the maker.
I recommend you write to Shorty. You two would hit it off great.

I guess its wrong for me to put up this question in the 1st place? Anyway of deleting this thread?

I know this cue

I am fairly certain that I know this cue. I believe that I even bid a good amount on it when it was on Ebay not too long ago. It is a Filipino made cue, but it is not one of the cheap cues that you often see. There are several very good cue makers in the Philippines, and the maker of this cue is one of them. Maybe he is not a native Filipino, but a foreigner working there. I really don't know. I do know these have been selling from 200 to 300 dollars, and sometimes more (depends on the bidding war). I agree that this is a very nice looking cue, but I am 90% that this was for sale from the PI about one to two months ago. It must be frustrating for them to get the prices that they do for their work. I think a large part of the American distaste for the cues is undeserved bad mouthing from U.S. Cue makers. They are just trying to protect their market shares, but a lot of these cues are really good quality work. It is just a roll of the dice, unless you are familiar with the work of the craftsman.

By the way, be very careful on Ebay. I bought a "Custom" cue last month that turned out to be a production (Action-Elite) cue that someone had cut the butt off of. They then placed a black butt cap on it instead of a white one, and walah...it is a custom cue. Yes, refund was given when I exposed the fraud. It is amazing what people are doing now with cons.
