Zylr Cues. You can't beat the hit IMHO. That buckhorn joint has a great feedback to it.

If you ever get sick of the Boti just toss it my way. I promise to give it a good home.

I thought you were going with Gilbert.Koop said:Any forward balanced cue with a stainless steel joint.
I've had two Schons and two Helmstetters that fit the bill nicely. Now it looks like Skip Weston will be receiving a down payment shortly. Was a toss up between Skip and Andy Gilbert.

uwate said:I had a decent cue collection for a while. Then I decided to sell most and put the money towards buying into Disney Timeshare for my kids. Anyways, with 15 high end cues I let my best friend test drive them. My friend plays pretty good (he has run 4 legitimate/no cosmo racks on a bar box playing 9ball before) but knows very little about about custom cues. So I laid out these cues which included
-my current playing cue a Gus Szamboti
-two Benders
-hoppe conversion scruggs
-2 Southwests
-omega DPK
-2 Searings
-late 60's Joss
-2 Joss Wests
-Mottey
-Pete Ohman sneaky pete
-Coker
We played a whole weekend that my wife took the kids upstate to visit her Mom. At the end of the weekend I asked him which one he liked best.
His conclusion? "Yknow, I hate to tell you this, but I really like this plain jane cue the best (the four point no ivory, no inlaid G. Szamboti)." He was worried I would be all upset that he didnt like my fancy looking cues the best. I just laughed. So when people ask me how my cue hits, sometimes I tell them about how my cue passed my own version of the Taster's Choice Blind test.
