What are some "MUST HAVE" items that you have or would recommend for Cue Maintenence?
What is your own personal "home-made" tool(s)?

Just good to see whats out there!!

-Personally I use a few tools, and it depends on how long its been since I maintained it.

-I use a Q-Cloth on a regular basis.
-Willards Dime Shaper (love it)
-Q-wax (some times if I feel it really needs it)
-Cue Slips papers, awesome!

-A soft piece of fine leather (to burnish with)
-A Microfiber wood polishing cloth

1)Tip Pik- push in 1/4 turn,push in 1/4 turn,push in 1/4 turn
2)Mothers wax- smear on, wax off grasshopper.
3)120 grt. open coat on wood to shape tip
4)Mothers wax on ferrule- leave on so ferrule cleaning is easier (avoid tip)
5) square of chamois to polish shaft (rub real hard)
6)denatured alky to clean shaft (reapply wax)
7)microfiber cloth to wipe down cue and hands
8) McDermott joint protectors with nickle shaped scuffer built in
9) old worn out 1200 grt. wet/dry paper for really stubborn stuff on shaft

Still need to figure out what's best for cleaning leather grip but that hasn't become an issue yet.

Micro mesh cloth from 400 grit to 2000 grit

Leather burnishing pads

T shirt rags for shaft

White Towel for butt.

I have every single product available for slickening (is slickening a word? ) shafts and use none of them anymore. None needed. My experience has been they all work for a while and then they get sticky. Keep it clean. Knock off any problems with the highest grit micromesh that will work, and burnish.
