I have a cue and im not sure of the pin,it looks like a 3/8 x 10 but its not.
I tried to screw my 3/8 x 10 shaft on it from another cue but it only goes on about 1/4 to half ways on.(its a lathem cue) .Thanks for any help.
Measure the outside diameter of the pin. If it's (approx) 3/8, you've got a 3/8 pin. Count the threads and calculate how many threads there would be in 1 inch of length. If it's 10, you've got a 3/8-10. If it's something else, well, you get the idea
Two possible gotchas.
It may measure to be a 3/8-10 pin, but the major and/or minor diameters of the threads may be different than your other cue. I have purchased joint protectors that are advertised as 3/8-10, but they won't screw in to my 3/8-10 shafts more than a turn or two.
It was a 3/8 x 10 the only different's on the cue was the pin was longer and when i screwed it on, it got really tight about 1/4 " from going together.
I put my 2 cues together (jd and lathem)the joint's look the same .
It just fits snugger on my lathem cue,i was afraid i was going to hurt the threads because it wasnt going on smooth.
