What kind of TIP do you use?

Laminated Water Buffalo. It's pretty hard (I use hard tips only), and it hits great and after it mushrooms once, it won't mushroom anymore. The last one I had lasted me about a year, playing everyday.

BTW, haven't you asked this question like 15 times on Billiards Digest Forums? LOL

Moori S (Slow). I like softer tips because the cue I play with is quite stiff. Still, Moori S is surprisingly hard but still gives a lot of cueball action. Used to play with Moori M but found it needed scuffing quite often because the surface would get shiny. I rarely need to scuff the Moori S.

For the 100th time on the 7th message board, Tiger hard. :D

and my challenge from CCB still stands....

On my own cue I use either a Sumo water buffalo (hard) or a Moori Slow (soft). I know that sounds contradictory, but that's what I like!

just more hot air!

On the playing cue I will be using a Talisman Pro Medium once it is finished. The reason why is simple, I prefer a medium-hard laminated tip for low maintenance and the Talisman Pro is a great bang for the buck tip that fits the bill.

Elk Master, however, I don't like it for the first two weeks. Then once it is compressed and gets a little harder, then it is perfect for me. Once it is in shape it stays that way and I don't have to do much but chalk it. I have one of these tools to use if the tip mushrooms. Never have to use it on this tip after using it once at the end of that darn two week break in.

Anyone familiar enough with the Elk Master that can tell me what tip will play like it plays after the break in, only right from the start?

i found a tip in a 30 yr old barbox i reclothed last month,it was almost like new after i cleaned it up.i like it better than the dynamite tip i had on my cue before.i hope it lasts a while,it may be hard to get another one, lol.

Nothing but Tiger Hard Tips. Best, NAW many good tip out there for sale. I do prefer a Layer over a non Layered.

Moori (soft) - ALL THE WAY!

Buddy told me of the Moori (soft) at last years DCC. I had Joe Blackburn put 2 of them on and THEY ARE GREAT!
As Buddy said - More English with less effort.
I was worried that they would break down but I had Joe put a little cone shape on the tip just in case. They never have spread at all.
I LOVE THEM!
