What production cue is your favorite?

Joss, Pechauer, Schon

Schön, Pechauer, Joss, in that order. I always get 2 shafts. Standard 13mm and a 12.75mm.

I agree. My current players are a 1987 custom Joss w/original 214 shaft and Moori M, and a fairly new Pech Pro-H SP with original shaft and Emerald tip.

Schon. There's a reason so many prefer them, and why they're not as available for resale as all the others...

There are quite a few finely constructed "production" cues. The thing with me is, I'm going to use a Predator shaft on whatever cue I use, so from there I just need to find a joint I like, and cue w/ a grip diameter that is comfortable. Weight and balance come into play as well.

I've been using an Predator IKON 1 and I really like it. It has an awesome balance, hit, quality of construction, etc. My only complaint is it is a tad thin. A JOSS is too fat for me. A Schon always feels good. A friend came in w/ a Meucci with a Z2 shaft and it hit, played, felt really good to me. I was in shock how much I liked it.

i'm a cue whore

i switch between my zinzola, lambros, and mezz daily.

probably explains why i suck so badly

Schon has to be at the top of my list
i can't tell you all of the great players that i have known who played schon,
and played their best playing schon

i have bought several for resale and have yet to play with one i did not like
same consistent play from cue to cue

Schon here too.

Started with a McD
then a DP before he sold out

then saw a schon i fell in love with. Hit with it and never looked back. Been with my baby for years now ;)

Mezz.

Without a doubt, the highest quality production cue out there.

Everything else is a notch down. Mezz has better build quality, fit and finish than many semi-customs, or high production customs.

mezz with wd700 shaft a pure player

I second the mezz recommendation with the wd700 shaft. My favorite hands down, and I've tried plenty of production and custom cues. Put a kumui tip on the shaft and it's like driving a formula one racer where everything else is just a mercedes e-class at best.

Mezz has a nice hit and WD700 shaft is great.

Had couple Schon's with OB1 and 314^2 shafts and now I don't.

Why do so few rave about Predators on these type of threads, when they must sell more than all the rest put together?

Are you talking about Predator cues or shafts? Shafts get a lot of love here in these threads...especially the 314-1 and original Z. Cues, not as much, probably because they're pretty simple; Predator sells a lot more shafts than cues.

The Mezz alpha shaft is pretty sweet too. Firmer more powerful hit with more feedback than the WD700. Shaft is thicker, works better with backhand english compared to the WD700. WD700 is lower deflection. Both great feeling and performing shafts.

You like the Kamui tip over the stock Moori ? How do they compare ? The Moori seems like it is going to last a long time.
