What qualities or defects should I look for when buying a used table?

Let your wife choose the new cloth color. Get her invested in this deal so she doesn't want to back out.

For some odd reason she thinks she needs to replace her 17yr old vehicle that has 200k miles on it instead of getting me a new toy.....

Good looking table. Unless you know someone who is a table mechanic you'll need to commission one to break it down, move it and set it back up. Personally, I always go with a new felt when a table is moved. You'll want a quality cloth like a Simons 860. I'm in the Boston area and it's about $400 to break down move and set up. Simonis is ~$300. So you're $2500 table is $3200 installed. If the balls are original then they're 70 years old. New quality balls are another 250-300. If the cues need new tips say another 100 for 4-6 cues to retip. Just a couple of caveats. Good luck

It turns out this is an 8 foot table. I'm looking for a 9 footer. So I will not be buying this table. If someone else is interested in it pm me and I can get you the contact info.
