What rooms to stop at near I-80 (Driving cross country)

I stopped at Glass City Billiards a few years ago. Nice little room. Met some people; played some cheap games.

But the kind people asked where I parked. When I said on the side of the building, they advised me to move the car across the street, where I could see it from the building...

Oh yeah you don't ever park on the side of the building, I'll part there if i'm just running in and it's like 11 am anytime after that i won't park there. It' not a bad poolroom and a few of the guys there are nice. I just like the place I work at better.

E & A Billiards is just a 1/4 mile north of the turnpike.
Get off the Milan/Sandusky /Cedar point exit.
On the left you will see the NorthCoast Marketplace.
They're in the Center Court follow signs or park around the back you will see alot of cars and it is marked on the door.

I told him about your room I couldn't get directions quick enough. I just know how to get there don't know any exits though. I like your room, been trying to get down for a Friday night or Saturday night tournament, i'll make it one of these weekends

don't eat here!!

truck stops such as pilot, TA(truckstops of america)- {there are exceptions like sapps brothers }can be hazardous to your stomach. little america (western wyoming)has a great restaurant in their truckstop! furr's(cafeteria) and love's(cafeteria-not the truckstop chain) has REALLY good buffet setups. love's truckstop has only fast food. O N i80 in iowa thetre is a huge truckstop-you will see the signs unless you are sleeping. in wyoming the petro around cheyenne had good food. if you go thru toole, utah, don't stop to eat at the TA- you have been warned. if you go around portland oregon you owe it to yourself to look up jim oswald at billiard and bagels. he has ON HAND more custom cues (at LEAST 35 different cuemakers)than we can shake a stick at. you can even-gasp- shoot with them to try them out. he has a room as part of his business. hope you have a great trip. pay attention to the big rigs; if they are all going 65 or so there is something up.. if they all are in the right or left lane, there is a problem up ahead. sorry about that; again, i hope you have a great trip. ohio is not friendly to speeders. cozad nebraska is a small town right on I-80 with a PUBLIC LIBRARY with FREE internet access and the best bar tables i ever remember seeing. there are two bars right across the street from each other.

Of the 3 Chicago Area Rooms "near" I-80, Protyme in Orland Park is the closest (If you are just jumping off the Hwy for a bit then go there). Its real nice and near a big mall with lots of shopping and Restaurants if bringing Family with ya... Can be a young crowd here...

Pockets is probably the next easiest to get to, but about twice as far off Rte 80 (80 to 294N, Cicero Ave exit South, go 1/2 mile)... has good action sometimes (Players go upstairs to avoid music and whatever else)... Pockets also has a Bar... the only one of the 3 with a bar... $10/person all you can play everyday until noon-8pm ...

Red Shoe Billiards isnt hard to get to either, about the same distance from rte 80 as Pockets, and has the most action by far of the three all day long... 5 or six tables behind the red rope for players... Lots of 1 pocket played here...
