My cue maker is one who sells aftermarket shafts and indeed the shaft on my cue is absolutely identical to an aftermarket shaft. So, which one should I click?

Maker's shaft <click>

Low Deflection Shaft <click>
Short Ferrule shaft <click>
Small diameter tip shaft <click>
 
Try one for an entire season, then the other, and see what you personally like best. One advantage is having a shaft that you can use on multiple butts. I believe there is something to say, about knowing how the characteristics of a constant player are. Its preference in personal feel, that should assist you the most with your decision, not a poll by all off us, but its a good way to get feed back on which ones to look a little closer at vrs others! ;) JMO...
 
I play with the same maple shaft that came with the cue (actually came with 2 shaft but one is almost like still new). Different strokes for different folks, I like playing with a standard shaft myself.
