Im somewhat new to playing pool and wanted to test my game against the gost in nine ball. I played four sets to ten and won all four (10-4 10-4 10-5 10-6). The sets were played on a 7ft diamond and I think i played at about my normal speed. I would like to start playing in different places and was wondering what my sl would be ( apa or other places )? This post is misleading and im sorry, i didnt understand the rules and didnt play right. I played combos on the nine counted.

Why does it matter, just play and soon enough once you play others you will find out. You should be rated somewhere above the people you beat yet just below those who beat you. If you don't find that to be the case there might be something wrong with the system.
Side note, there is often something wrong with the systems out there.

Just out of curiosity what are the rules you are using to play the ghost?

You're somewhat new to playing pool and beat the 9b ghost in a race to 10 4 straight times on a diamond? Either our definitions of being somewhat new are vastly different or I'm very far behind in the progression of my game.

I dont want to be a part of the problem, thats why im asking. If i go play where there are c b a aa rankings i want to start off in the right area. Bih after the break...run or done.

You're new, but you beat the ghost 4 times straight?

Uh, yeah. Sorry dude, but that makes no sense. Either post a video, or it never really happened(or you simply aren't new at all)..

Two years ish and i bought my own table about six months ago. I practice every chance i get.

If those are your choices for speed, I'd say you'd be at the top...I'd love to see a video.

You break and run in 2/3 of all games! You would be SL 7, perhaps even SL 8 in my division of APA/CPA. Just curious how many years of playing is in your definition of "somewhat new"?

The top of what? Its on a small table with bih using a magic rack soft breaking. I keep looking at my opening shot after the break thinking i would be done in a bunch of those games.

A little bit of draw and you should have the one in the side everytime, all balls should be below side pockets including the cueball

The one ball was hitting just below the side pocket every time. The wing ball was dropping.

I, too, have been playing for 2 years. And I bought an 8' diamond pro-am for my house in february and practice on it daily. I can absolutely not beat the 9b ghost in a race to 10, let alone 4 times in a row. I used to think I was progressing quickly until I read this post, and now I'm in a deep state of depression and think I should probably just give up and sell my table/cues. Wow.

We need to see videos to determine your speed.
For all we know, you could be ram-shotting your way to victory in every rack.
