What tables??

What tables will they be using in Vegas for the BCA? Diamonds with red circle or Valley with new magnetic?
 
Im almost certain Diamonds with red circle. If they are the exact same as when we had them here for our state tournament, get ready for perfect equipment and 6 strategically placed CANYONS. Seriously huge buckets. But very nice never the less.
 
There will be 236 Diamond tabales for the competition at the BCA National 8-Ball Championship. A total of 261 tables counting the "action" and vendor tables. They will use red circle and tournament blue cloth.

The pockets are the same cut as normal - 4 13/16". They seem to play big because they are on a 7' table. The table plays so well that players discover they can soft roll the ball - which means they go in the pocket a lot easier.

The only thing that plays like a cue ball is . . . . .a real cue ball! Using the red circle means you get a perfect result evey time (if you hit it good). We do our best to make sure that the equipment does not beat you.

That's great equipment!.., 261 tables will be quite a sight!

But what's wrong with using the "stock" cue ball that comes with the Super Pro Aramith set which I assume you will be using?.., What's the sense in replacing it with a Red Circle ball?.., I never understood this.., I would much rather shoot with the stock cue ball that is designed to be used with the set, Super Pro Aramith or otherwise. JMHO
 
Good question. The red circle cue ball is pretty much accepted as the best ball to use. More events/rooms use the red circle than any other ball. We have found that the red circle seems to be a little more consistent as far as optical density - which means they are more consistent in the manufacturing process.

I have always favored the red circle when using simonis. The finish seems to be harder. The cue ball does not pick up the burn marks that an inferior ball will get. When you strike a cue ball, it creates a tremendous amount of friction. This shows on balls as a burn mark.

On a side note, the red circle is available with the Super Aramith set when new. It is just an upgrade.

Thanks Mark, sounds good. Is not the Red Circle actually needed to return properly in the Diamond tables? Or Does the sensor pick up any white ball?:)

Now for the VNEA do the tables get changed out or do they also use the Diamonds?

It is a Valley league...I assume that they wouldn't use Diamond equipment but I am just guessing.

Our charter holder told me that they will be moving the Diamond's out & replacing with the Valley tables for the VNEA.
