What THREE Great Pool Players would you love to Apprentice Under

It is a mood point to argue about I don't want to be the best can careless about it. If you watch any kind of pool you will see how style takes effect. Look at Efren, Django, Luat and compare them to Archer, Coltrain and Haddad. "Style my friend, Style". I prefer the american style of pool, So go **** yourself just Kidding:D

I don't know what a mood point is. " Moot" point maybe? Check out Jordan, Magic, Kobe and compare them to Bird, Cousy, Rick Barry. Is there a different style of ball? I think so. Why wouldn't you say, I prefer a shorter tighter pool stroke as opposed to a longer, smoother, flowing pool stroke. I believe those are your differences. Don't bring nationalities into it- is the point I am trying to convey. There are proud people from other nations on this Board that shouldn't be dissed. Just my $.02.
Don't get pissed off buddy, just having an educated disagreement!:)

Talking about not having a clue! You said yourself that they are the best. Is your goal to play like the best? Hmmm... I don't like the way the style LOOKS? , so I won't play like that. That statement is ridiculous. Still sounds racist too me.

ps. My analogy was totally on point.

Rob, I understand you're filipino, but you're overreacting. I'm also of filipino ethnicity, and I found nothing wrong with UpThrill6's original post.

I actually agree with UpThrill said. I have tried to copy the Filipino-style in the past myself, with the long bridges and smooth and fluid strokes. But i find it too difficult to master. I prefer a more short and compact stroke, but that's just me. It's all about personal preference...whatever makes you play better. As UpThrill said, it's a question about style, not race.

In all my year's of playing pool it has always been referred to as the Filipino style of pool. Man your feelings would be hurt at the poolhall I go to. "Softy":D

Last choice would be if I need to learn anything else, :) after a week with each of the TWO above

I think they would have covered it all I would ever need to know.

You just don't have a clue do you, Style and Race are too different things, They have a different style on how they play pool than the americans do. I should not have to explain myself on this. Think about it.

GET IT STRAIGHT. THE AIMING SYSTEM THEY EMPLOY DICTATES HOW THEY MUST PLAY.

Robin Dodson
Mike Masse
