I'm sick and tired of the smoking talk that goes on between smokers and non smokers.
Smokers, get the one little tiny bit of information correct before opening you mouths:
smoking kills smokers and non smokers, period!
I don't care if a pool room goes out of business because people can't smoke! IMO the owner should feel better knowing that his room is no longer killing people.
And let's be completly real her for a second, smoking vs non smoking does not shut down pool rooms. It the room that shuts down rooms. Owners need to find ways to attract costomers to their place. Offer better items then the next guy and you will get the action. Better equipment, air cond, better food, more leagues, ect. There are many ways to improve your room. I play out of a place that 5 or six years ago was empty, and now it's packed everyday.
The owner has upgraded many tables to diamonds, the menu is A+ all the way (and every month he changes the special menu), leagues, more service, cleans the balls once or twice a week, and adds money to two weekly tournys.
Him doing these things have made is place the place to go to. Some other place has lost business not because of non smoking but because better room!
So to recap, smokers go outside far from the door and try to only kill yourselfs and owners do what the other guy wont and get the other guys business.
sorry for the rant but i'm so tired of people blaming everything on smoking. Smokers act like polititions when it comes to finding reasons why smoking should be ok.
