What tip is best for new shaft?

Update: I have elected to go with a single layered tip of salt cured leather harvested from the left butt cheek of a golden lion tamarin. I just hope that it reduces counter clockwise spin on the cue ball. God, I do hate counter clockwise spin.

That tip won't work for left-handers.

DAMN!!! I was told I bought the last of those!! :banghead:

An easy question to answer.
Try the new 4Skin tip from Steamer Cue Sports Ltd.
They come in three variations of hardness, and are now color coded for your convenience. White for soft, Tan for medium, and Black for hard.
They are reasonably priced and can be found at pool rooms, and hospital gift shops, nation-wide.

Also, try the new '4skin "ribbed"' tip. You'll find that you get a better response.:D

Ah yes, our new 'French Tickler'. If you can't masse 'em with this tip, you're not pounding hard enough.
Take a look at our 'Ball Breaker' jump/break tip, too. It's tougher than a two dollar steak.

Just a suggestion, I've heard the hide from the three-toed sloth is better for tips. The sloth is so slow, his hide produces a slow tip that grips the cue ball better than pigskin, water buffalo, etc. Just a thought.

And, the sloth is not hard to catch. They're slow.

All the best,
WW

What tip would pair best with a thickish, whippy shaft with mid growth maple and a super aramith pro taper?

I use a slip stroke with a firm grip if that factors into your answer.

Don't we have enough silly 'tip threads' here on AZB, to last a lifetime?

PS..Every possible answer has been given at least fifty times!

C'mon guys, keep-up with the times! Don't you know that the best tip(as of 5min. ago) is made from the scrotal sac of the jackalope? Best tip (for at least another hour) in the WORLD!!

Hmmm...this sounds promising. Do you think they come bi-layered and in teriyaki flavor?
