what tips hold taom chalk well?

For the same price you pay for TAOM, you can get Pagulayan Chalk made by TAOM, applies every bit as evenly,
absolutely no chalk debris or mess, no chalk marks on the cue ball, and it is square……2 pieces comes in a nice
box to carry in your case and easily should last a year or longer unless you apply more chalk that is necessary.

With TAOM or Pagaluyan, you don’t apply it by twisting or turning the chalk on your cue’s tip. You do not want to
apply chalk incorrectly because it not only wastes chalk and ruins its life expectancy but is comes off striking the
cue ball creating chalk dust and debris. If you play with Triange, Silver Cup, Masters Flag, etc. you are unnecessarily
making the cloth dirty. Just try using a Rainbow vacuum on the cloth and see the chalk discolored water removed.
It’s done at Sierra Billiards every 2 weeks and the water waste is dark blue…….that’s not from playing with TAOM.

So check out the contour of your chalk. It will confirm that you are properly applying chalk to your cue tip. When and how often is your choice to make. But every chalk brand performs the same when correctly applied to your tip after
every shot. No chalk is better since the only thing chalk does is create friction. However, some chalks will stay on your
cue tip longer and definitely be so much more cleaner. But every chalk has but one purpose….friction. Apply your chalk
properly and it performs better, lasts longer & keeps the table cleaner even if you aren’t using higher end TAOM chalk.

There are a few different makers of chalk holders that sell them online.......just not a fan of the hard plastic material.

I just designed and printed my own with a TPU filament that has a rubber like feel to it....made some indents for the fingers....won't roll away....and when done playing......slide on the press fit cap and throw it in my case.....;)View attachment 794216View attachment 794217View attachment 794218
square holder for taom v10

I had the same experience with Ki-Tech tips a few years ago, bought a few and gave most of them away. They had a very strange feel to them in my opinion.

I use V10 and have had great luck with LePro and Zan medium tips. If I miscue, I know it is my stroke-

I’ve been really happy with the Predator Victory Soft that comes stock on Revo shafts. Really takes my Taom Pyro well and I’ve had the fewest miscues ever with that combo.

Recently got a new Revo and had them put a Kamui medium on instead to try something different. Liking the hit, much firmer, but already had one miscue in my first night of playing with it but also could be down to shaping on the shoulders, that was before I adjusted it to my preferred shaping. Jury still out on this one but it doesn’t seem to take the chalk quite as easily as the Predator tip.
I’ve been using predator soft for a long time. I don’t like kamui tips.. they just seem to get hard over time. 🤷‍♂️
