i have a earl strickland cuetec and the insert in the shaft that the butt threads into broke. i wrote cuetec and they say i can't get the piece alone. i think a replacement shaft is going to be about $50 so considering the total value of the cue is only about 100 brand new what should i do? get a replacment shaft, get an upgraded shaft (predator or tiger X or something) or should i just keep waiting and looking to see if i can find a used shaft?

If I were you I would look for a better cue altogether, preferably not cuetec....or Meucci for that matter(simply word of mouth, never used one)

I would honestly think that it is a warranty issue and you should be able to get a no cost replacement. Don't they have a lifetime warranty or something?
If if does not fall under warranty and the handle is still in good condition, spend the $50 for a new shaft.
i was even willing to pay, they said i couldnt get one at all by its self. i just dont want to pay 50 for a shaft when i see cuetecs going for like 65 on ebay, not that i want one but you could get a whole cuetec for almost the same price as i would be paying for just the shaft... hopefully someone will have a used shaft or a cuetec w/ two shafts for sale...
Is it the collar with the black ring on bottom and silver on top? If so I have a shaft for that that is new. Will only cost you what it takes for me to ship it to you....
