I've recently seen some cues that were
from overseas. They typically have many,
and I do mean many, inlays in patterns that
attract lots of attention. The points are rounded
as in mass produced cues yet the owners seem
to think these are custom made cues. These cues
are ordered and received in a couple of months.

Does anybody know who and how they are made?

I'm not interested in buying ... just curious.

These were made in the Philippines. These have sharp points but they were still mass produced. Quality wasn't particularly bad but they are not top shelf either. There are just too many manufactures ( custom and mass produced) for me to answer your question and I don't don't even know of half of them.

Most are flashy and not quite my taste in style but some people really like them.

I guess to answer your question you would have to define what custom means to you. To some it means picking from a list of options and to others it means to have almost total control over the design of the entire cue.

Many of these cues are made custom to some degree. But it's worth mentioning that "custom" and "quality" don't always go hand in hand. I have seen some custom pieces of crap and some mass produced cues that were outstanding.

People are attracted to these cues usually because of their price and at first glance they look neat.... to some. To each their own I guess.
