What would you do here??

The way that 1 is contacting the 4, it looks as if there would be a good chance of making the 4 in the corner. If you hide the 1 from yourself and make the 4, then you're stuck with a tough shot again.

Thats very true, thanks Marksman I should have mentioned that. I would duck behind the 4 first choice, I'm really just throwing that option out there. Its a hairy angle, but I would be checking to see what a stop shot could do in that situation.

very informative thread. I think this is your best one yet Niel on your shot threads. I know first how strong it is to keep the right mentallity, it can be pivotal. grenn to you, check out my position thread.

But of course Neil made the 9. It was a hanger!

About 30 posted shots and no one saw this coming?

Geez, what were we thinkin?

;)

You lucky SOB!!!

To be honest, after I made it, I was embarrassed that I hadn't seen the possibility of it going in. :o

It actually is a very wise play. The extra risk involved is more than balanced by the potential game winning shot. Regardless of how big that horse shoe was you toted up in dere, B & R'ing twice after and winning the match is a helluva feat. Nice work Neil, the "King of WhaddyaDoHere"!

I did a jump masse draw with reverse psychology and a bit of the mamba twirl. I made the combo'd 4 and the 1 caromed off the 4, and went 2 rails into the lower side..

Edit- I see KK9 beet me two it allreddy.:grin-square:

Diamond barbox. Tournament setting, playing an equal opponent, race to 5, no pushout, score is 4-1 for your opponent. Quarterfinals of winners bracket. Can only see the edge of the one.

CueTable Help

Okay Neil..
The grinder checkin' in...
I'm loading it with left, the 1-ball just misses the 4-ball
No in-off here, whitey checks off 2 rails and glues to the 4-ball
If you get the 1-ball near the 3-ball the man needs a helicopter

Anybody who thinks this shot is too tough better not play 1-hole
