I was teaching someone a kick shot today & thought what would it be worth to you to learn how to kick ? I mean to hit a ball pretty much anywhere on the table ! Let's say 1 hour a week for say 8,9,10 weeks .
What do you think with a guarantee of results .Basically the diamond system.

To be honest I wouldn't pay for lessons. For one there are thousands of how to sites and YouTube videos. If you can set up your laptop where you shoot, the sky's the limit.
Technology and the internet has ruined lessons and teaching as we know it thus further dooming mankind.

(I'd pay around as much as I would on a jump cue. ) I am talking about the ability to hit a ball anywhere even if your frozen to another and can't jump.

yes and no. i do have videos and watch videos on how to do things. but i cannot ask a question to a video. i cannot ask the video if i am doing it correctly.

Ok, ok.

In which case I wouldn't pay anything purely for a lesson in kicking. The internet and libraries have numerous kicking techniques readily available for free. You add site like AZ into the equation and free advice is a new thread away.

I'd pay $1,000.00 in a heartbeat...even if I was broke, I'd go get a second job to come up with the money.

MY problem is that I had a memory once...but I don't remember when. So...the diamond systems are just not in the cards for me.

PLUS...every table is different and I reject the notion that by making a couple of diamond system kicks you AUTOMATICALLY know how kicks from all over the table will respond.

So, paying a "grand" would depend on whatever method someone would offer to teach me...

A. Could be learned without having advanced memory skills and

B. Could be EASILY AND QUICKLY adapted to any given table...say in 5 minutes of messing around.

Take out the word guarantee maybe 15 beans.:grin-square:

I have offered to teach people who can't kick in a ball hanging in the hole one out of ten for free.
As soon as I say "through This diamond" they throw their hands up in the air and act like they were tar and feathered.
Good luck getting paid anything lol.

I have seen rates as low as 20 bucks an hour... I would currently cap it at $75 an hour based on that being the rate several quality instructors charge that I know....

As far as paying just to learn to kick? I'd say if you need more than 3 hours INSTRUCTION on kicking methods you: 1) need to actually practice 2) need a new instructor 3) need to quit because you cannot be taught creativity.....

But maybe everyone is different... I tend to bend most all of my kicks with high and low and work off of standard tracks...
