What would you tell you Room/Bar Owner to do in 2008

Both Arizona, and Califronia have done away with Smoking. Nither State has gone out of business. Smoker just go outside to puff, and puff.

I've lived in both states, and it was great to still be able to see the balls on the table after a couple hours. I think if one pool hall banned it here, the customers would just go a mile down the road to the next. The whole state needs to ban it.

most of these complaints about music are hilarious. Complaining about the type of music played is not something that will ever correct itself, unless the people who go to these halls decide to quit listening to it. Talk to the owners about the music being too loud and get a petition if you need one to make the point clear, but complaints about music taste will always exist and are not worth looking at.

Fixin up da Pocket Billiards Hall

1) Replace the felt on tables with some good 860.

2) Topless rack girls

3) Fix the broken pockets

4) Topless rack girls

5) More 9-footers with tighter pockets

6) Topless rack girls

7) Change to some Diamond tables

- And ? oh YEAH ? topless rack girls

Q-Spot in Tulsa

I would tell the guys at Q-Spot (in Tulsa) to keep on doing what they're doing.

The place is great!
The people are great!
Nice cloth on the tables!
Nice new sets of balls!
Great cue/case/supply selection!
Great pop selection!
Great snack selection!
Great music on the box!
Perfect lighting!
(Could maybe use new barstool covers.)

The only way it could get better is if it was across the street from our home!!

...Oh wait, sell one of their old tables to me for a ridiculously low price. You know, like "Congrats! You just won a free table!"

I can only dream.......

Wow! I like that one.

No LOUD music! Volume is usually just a couple of decibels too high.

Get rid of the hard rap, the hard punk, heavy metal, and the hard rock! Oh and most, if not all of the country music too!

Then all that'd be left is the good music that people can actually listen to and enjoy.

some of us are equally offended by Kenny G and Micheal Bolton LOL . after that all thats left are show tunes... :D :D :D :D

Better Idea..

Play a never ending tape of intermittent clapping and the phrase "Nice Shot" spoken by Jerry Forsyth.. light every table for TV... and we can all pretend that we are Efren:D :D :D

Mostly, I'd say "keep up the good work," as amsterdam Billiard club is simply the greatest place in the world. Still, one change I'd like to see at the Amsterdam Billiard Club is the elimination of blues music, which sometimes goes on for hours at a time, and is almost reason enough to walk right out the door. I have yet to meet a customer that likes this music. I don't really mind blues music, and would be fine with it if it were played on an occasional basis, but played for hours on end, it rates as punishment for a crime not committed.

You got da blues, Stu....you'd better listen to more....the only cure...

I need a release of sound
Like a new way to hear.

The balls lost their clatter
And what I hear isn't near
I got dem low down, back rackin' sharkin' too long listenin' to low downound blues... ... ... ...

not much to complain about where i play..(breaktime in wilmington nc) as i have stated before .they have a great policy for players over 55 during the week. $2.00 total cost from 11am til 5pm.....30 tables 10 diamonds in a secluded area (no games or music or tvs) they are on the other side with the mostly brunswick tables .....the food is very good and it is a popular place. also has 24 bowling alleys and resturant and a couple of bars.......i play straight pool and have found a friend to play with on a daily basis ....i think the low price for older players ( who are probably on a fixed income is great ) love the place
