What's a hustler's favorite pool cue?

What pool cue do hustlers use?

Ed Young told me a about a cue he made for a notorious hustler. He spraypainted over the cue with white paint and added budweiser stickers etc to make it look the part. The poor hustlees would have no idea what was coming. I would love to get ahold of that cue. I heard it is still around Chicago. Deacon

I'd say if you just want to go into bars and pool halls and feed on fish cheap the best thing is a cue from the wall. Kinda look for a decent one with an ok tip. Might be fun to use one of the flea market 5 piece cues with the screw on tip too if you'd rather use a gaff cue:D

Exactly right. Carry some 400 grit Wet-or-Dry in your pocket to tune up the shaft and a tip shaper, and you're in business.

Years ago when I was looking for action I often thought of buying a Joss East as an example for 200-300 and having all the finish stripped off and having one of those air-brush paint guys do some cheesy picture on the cue and then clear coating it. I never did it, but I still think it would have worked, I just used house cues unless I couldnt find one, but back then pool rooms seemed to take better care of them when business was better.
