I got my ass handed to me by a local 680 who knew the pocket I was playing had issues. No matter how well stroked, over a certain speed, the ball would jaw in the pocket. Took me a couple of racks to figure this out, thinking it was my stroke and not the table in question.
After the match I worked that pocket. It refused to take a ball hit firmly. Try to draw, 4 feet or so and it would hang there laughing at you.
My pocketing speed is known as firm. Even when playing one hole.
I'm thinking the shelf depth is off causing the ball to rattle back and forth rather than falling.
