what's it worth

A friend picked up this Schmelke Cue and was wondering if it was worth what he paid. Does anyone have any ideas?? He was told that it was made in the 80's. I does not say "made in USA". Rolls straight .

80's or 90's would be about right. Made in Rice Lake, WI. Not worth a lot, maybe $100 top end if somebody wants it.

Schmelke still uses that joint and that entire cue can be replicated if ordered that way. I would say the cue was made in the late 90's, because of the overall design. However, it could have been made last week. A Schmelke cue like that, even in great condition, is worth around $80-100. You could get rid of it quickly for $60-80 on ebay, without a doubt.
