What's the best Cueball Position for 10-ball Breaks?

Where do you put your cueball? Not so much to make the 10 but to drop a ball and have a good shot on the 1 or the lowest numbered ball. Any suggestions? We are in a 10 ball tournament next weekend and I would like to find a good spot to start from.

Sorry if this has been posted before. I searched and didn't find anything.

I typically have more success positioning the cueball more towards the middle. Usually around either diamond, and of course at the string. For me, this usually yields the most consistent results, barring any one particular tables sweet spots.

Corners of the box... The wing balls in a 10-ball rack are dead 4 rails into the bottom corners. It's tough to make it though because it has to travel three table lengths with a ton of traffic. It's probably more reliable to make the 1ball in the side pocket, but that's no walk in the park either.

10-Ball break shot

At the WTBC the players who had the most success were breaking with the cue ball about 2-4 inches away from the center line. If they hit the rack solidly this sent the two balls in the second row towards their respective side pockets and, by the end of the week, they were sinking at least one of these and staying at the table. The best break I saw all week belonged to Shane who was breaking from dead straight on or just barely off of straight on and he was really hitting it hard. He not only made one of the two balls in the second row, he was the only player to regularly squat his cue ball in the middle of the table. Almost everyone else was losing control of the cue ball and finding it lost in traffic behind the rack.
