What's the big deal with Custom Cues???

Its true that all cues perform the same function but to me its all a numbers game. Cuemakers pour over tons of shaft wood just to have small useable stock. Also some guys spend upwards of a year seasoning and making cuts on those shafts. Now compare that to production cue which use most any piece of wood they get and the little amount of time spent on shafts and its easy to see that custom cues are superior. With that in mind would you rather have a cue from a guy that makes 50-60 cues a year or a company that makes 100,000 a year?

Try 10 years or more for shafts from some makers.

Cues are like Cars,m some drive KIA's and they will get you to point "A", but it is more Fun to arrive in a Porsche.

My thoughts exactly!!!(porsche and bmw are in the shop-driving an aveo rental)SUCKS

Custom cues are like.....cool.....I mean, if you have one, you get like all the hot chics.....and you get invited to all the cool parties....and you like have the baddest bike in school and can go over sweet jumps......

It's all about just finding a cue that you like.....but the nice thing about a custom is it's not one of 10,000......it's yours....you can have it made the way you like and get a nice one for $300.......

My first players cue was a Viking cue made in the 70's.....it was a nice one that I used up until about 5 years ago.....then, during my divorce, it just disappeared....I wish I still had it, but I like the custom I play with now....feels more like mine....:D
