hey chris any info on the gold hotstamped models?

That's the 1966 and 1967 catalog - do you want me to e-mail some of these old catalogs?

I think $450.

It's a latter 1960's cue, probably just before the overseas version was made in the 1970's.

I have one like the one listed. But somebody told me it was probably an Adams blank from Japan in the early '70's. If it has the black stamp is it late '60's US made? I took a few pics of mine maybe I should post them.

Adam actually made the entire cue in Japan from early 1970's on. I was told the black label could have been made here or in Japan - there is overlap.

The ones I saw that looked like Adam blanks to me had a number stamped on the forearm near the collar. Also, the veneer colors could be different. I've seen some Palmer PB cues that had Adam forearms that looked exactly like Titlist colors, but upon close examination, the points were about 1/2 to 1" inch longer than the US built variety.

No shame to have a 1970's Adam blank cue. The Adam blanks were quite high quality, I think better than the Brunswicks in many cases of the late 1960's. I have some Adam Japan blank cues that are as well made as any Spain I've seen. In fact, they are almost identical to the Spain blanks. John Davis told me he couldn't tell the difference, and he built them. Palmer used them, so did Tascarella, and a lot of others.
