No one else thinks this beyond annoying?? Surely I'm not one of a few to notice them all.
 
A whole lot of folks get really upset when someone posts something that has been posted in the past (USE THE SEARCH they always say).

Just look up jump cues.

From here on out when I see a search suggested.I'll suggest a search and bump...just to save us all time in the future.No need to bring up what you may be curious about in 2008 if it was brought up in 2004.Just bump that pertanant sucker!!

It's a little different when some one who is brand new asks about jump cues but when someone who's been here for a while asks about people's favorite tips that shit gets old

If your complaint a year from now is about thread bumping... then I say it's your right to do so! :-) What is the problem with it really? I think people do it for a number of very valid reasons.... Who is to say when a thread really should be dead?

I was thinking about bringing up the thread where Mark Griffin announced his new plans for pro pool... because I was wondering what the progress was on that. Would you prefer I started a whole new thread to ask that question? I think that is more confusing.

Seriously, In the past I have found and read some threads I would have never seen unless someone bumped them.

I like the ones that are bumped close to a yearly anniversary, and it's not as obvious that it was "resurrected". :)

Well obvoiusly an older and useful ...perhaps even entertaining thread is fine imo....But the complete nonsense like "Why did Fatboy leave" or Housepro's "how do you like the new forums" from 2004 (I think) is really odd......and some of them get replies from folks who don't bother to check the date so they think its a real time thing.

Some old threads are great I agree.

The recent number of em bumped all at once seemed to me to be more of a mission by someone or someones then it was to be helpful or even genuine.

Just one mans thoughts on it.Bump away folks.

Clutter is about 90% of the new posts. The interesting topics (to me) on this board are declining as the popularity of the site grows. You have to wade through too much BS and spend too much time searching for something that grabs your attention. Just progress I guess, but this old player wants to read war stories and action reports not what kind of tip you use and what is the best jump cue. I know I am in the minority and there is supposed to be room for everyone, but too many of the posts haven't been thought through IMO. They do get responses though, so maybe I am the one who is out of touch. John Henderson
