Whats wrong with my stroke

This seems like a great forum with experts and pros. I am new to the site and just started learning pool few months ago from books, youtube etc. It seems like 95% my stroke shots end up having unintended right english for some reason. I can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I would appreciate any feedback ; here is the video I recorded. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hP9WDMOCdjE. I am planning to take lessons next month.

Error in your stroke

First of all, you are pushing the stroke instead of using a relaxed tossing motion. It is very difficult to push a straight line and your follow-through flows to the left of your aim line. This is why you are inadvertently imposing right hand english upon the cue ball as you follow-through.

Secondly, you are droping your elbow as you push the stroke. These two key errors alone will make it difficult to control the cue ball.

You have too many moving parts in your stroke. The elbow dropping is the obvious big issue, but it is so severe it forces you to adjust your wrist position as well. The combination of the two allows way too many opportunities for movement off line.
It looks like you are trying to make a stroke happen, rather than allowing it to happen. A good instructor will be able to help work it out.

You're simply too stiff. It looks like you're sawing wood. Relaaaax.

Some will say you're dropping your elbow. Some might say you're actually raising your elbow on your back-stroke (0:27). That's all fine and dandy, but the primary reason you're probably not excelling is due to the following:

1) First and foremost, you didn't find center ball on any of your hits. That alone will make you miss more than anything having to do with elbow positions. Even if you drop your elbow, raise your elbow, whatever--- if you're perfectly on the vertical axis, you should at least make the ball or come close. You're erring to the right side of the CB on each shot. You're probably over-cutting shots to the right and undercutting shots to the left. Left cuts are probably higher % than your right cuts (just a guess).

2) You're not smooth (too stiff)

3) Your stance looks really uncomfortable (which contributes to you not being smooth)

Your last shot was your best. Not great just better.

Your eye pattern is screwed up.

Hope you are going to visit an SPF Instructor.

Good luck

i might - MIGHT - be visiting Lamb & Lion Ministries in McKinney, just north of Dallas. I am also hopeful to take a tour of the Texas School Book Depository so i can see where Oswald shot Kennedy. Not sure i'll find time to come over and help you become a better instructor but we'll see.

1) You shouldn't be instructing anyone
2) The only way you'll help Randy become a better instructor is if you help him figure out how to teach the unteachable
