I don't know whether you're at the top of the list or not, Rude Dog, but you definitely smoke the biggest pipe on the forum. I'm taking all side bets on that one. :D
Ah hell, let's change the list to that then, who smokes the biggest pipe? :D

Well let's see. I don't know how a lot of the people on here play as I'm just getting started here again. On big tables right now, I can say there are at least 10 or 15 people here I'm asking for weight in nine ball {Rude dog and Jimmy are at the top of that list}. Maybe 15 or 20 in onepocket. I don't know how well any posters here play bank, but there are probably 10 or 15 that I need some weight from. If we're not betting too high, I'd probably try about everyone even on the bar tables. This could change though, when the names start to come out on some of those anonymous people. Don't get the wrong idea and come looking to take me off, I don't just go off to everyone who comes into town asking for action. I will be at the DCC in Jan> Sam

id have to say

That i probably fall into the mix somewhere around the middle of the pack. I used to play in the apa and was a SL6 in 8ball. I play the ghost alot when im alone. I can beat the ghost if i rack up 6 balls. This is on a 8 ft'r with buckets. If i was to race the ghost on a tight 9 ft'r i think i would be bale to beat the ghost with 5 balls. I have only been serious about pool for the last 2 years. Hopefully in another 2 years i will be bale to beat the ghost with 9 balls.

Sorry Rude Dog, You got me hands down on the pipe. I gave up all that smoking stuff.
I gave it up too Sam, but I sure as hell miss it! I guess I didn't give it up too willingly, kinda forced into it, I'd say. Call me crazy, but once "THEY" cut me loose off this ball and chain, I'm gettin' a bigger pipe than this lil' bitty one in my avatar. Then I'll have this shit eatin' grin on my face like this-------->:p Off to Vegas everyone, be back Sunday night, wooooooHOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

Pure speculation: Can't see good enough to play the 9 footers but I'd say somewhere in the top 25 on the 7 footers.

The One, Bazarus, and sjm should be mentioned... though I've no idea how they stack up. I'd guess about 3/4 of AZ posters are stronger players than I.

I think Willie, Woody, SJM, JennBarretta and perhaps even Zim would all agree that I'm in the top ten of the bottom!

OK, I play(ed) pretty sporty at times. Maybe top 100?. Sixty one years old ain't so bad! I vote Zig Zag Master as number one. Although he hasn't posted for a while, he sure plays at least top ten on our list. If we rank based on avatars, he wins hands down! I assume we delete the "ask the pros" from consideration.

Jimmy M, Old Has Been, Rude Dog, Satman, The One. Of the guys I've seen, these are some of the best. If banks were the game, my moneys on Satman!

This post wouldn't be about self-serving ego would it? In reality it does not matter who is better than who on a pool related website. One of the players listed as one of the best on this website could probably get the 7 out from another poster that I know on AZ.

What I find ironic is that it is probably the posters that don't brag on AZ that probably play the best. I know of one in particular that plays some of the best one pocket I've seen played in the country.

Regards,

Doug

Where would you rank yourself on a list with every single AzB'er if you were playing 9 ball? Not including the pro's. I guess it would be hard to say because we don't know everyone in here but if you think you're the best player on here, then put yourself at the top until someone says otherwise. This should get a lot of feedback for yourself about where your game really is compared to others. There's plenty of people in here that do know lots of members of this forum, or at least knows of their game. So, if you think or know that you are the best 9 ball player in this forum, speak up. Or, if you think someone else is the best, speak up for them. A list is a list, that's all. Personally, I don't know that many members in here but I do know Jimmy M., and he plays well. Not just 9 ball either, he plays all games well. But, since this is my stupid idea, I'll put myself at the top of the list until someone can convince me otherwise. Have a nice day, John.

P.S. Please, no hijackers to this thread, this is just for fun, not to woof at anyone. Peace, John.

I guess I could squeeze into the top ten in 9 ball although it is not my best game, I would rank the One and Jimmy Mendoza ahead of me of the players I know or have read about. I did beat Jimmy the only time we played in 9 ball but when he knocked over a bunch of the pros at a big Hardtimes tournament he impressed me and I would give him the nod. I heard from some of the guys at Hardtimes that Rude Dog was really good so if he still plays near the top of his game then he would probably get the nod too.

In 1-pocket I might rank near the top. I have finished 9th the last 2 U.S. Open events in Vegas. I have knocked off a few of the Arizona boys in this event. This year I knocked off Tres after he had just eliminated Shannon Daulton. I assume Tres is the next best 1-pocket player to Scotty Frost from Arizona. Is this correct?

I don't play so I will answer for Bob.. He might be at 3490, but then again, he maybe in the top 25 with Dogginda9. Hard to tell, depends on what day it is.

What do you all think?:D

Difficult to judge. But I have been reading this forum for a few years. I think there are some very good players on this board. I also play pretty sporty at times. I would realistically rank myself in the top 50 for sure. Now this is just a guess because I have seen very few play. But I'm very confident in my ability to match up with just about any non pro.
hmmmmmm Tim Tonjum? (sp)

I can't play a lick. Bottom o' the barrel pool player. Come on up to Alexandria, VA and I'm sure we can make a game to your liking (or mine)....if I'm given the right amount of weight I'm liable to play anyone (I'm just foolish like that)...I mean I don't want to just "give" my money away. ;)
