Thanks for the vote of confidence! I don't know too many of the players on this site but I would definitely say that I wouldn't want to be firing my last barrel at Jimmy or Rude Dog. What the heck though. When it comes to nine ball, I'm dumb enough to try anyone at least once! :D

My vote though may have to go to DWallace when he actually decides to play.

Well I've never seen rude dog or Jimmy play, so I can't say anything for them except for perceived knowledge. They both have top votes there. As far as Dan (one of the few people who actually know or suspect how fast I can run), I didn't think he was on this site. I'm really new to this site. If Dan is on here, I'd put him right up there at the top too.

It depends if you count the pros. If no pros top 5 i guess. #1 for the cash lol! I'm don't care about my name getting out on here. When my leg heals up from my femur break I want action coming to me. My name is Sammy Williams and I'll be somewhere around Atlanta. Mr. Cues 2, The Pool Room, or ?. LOL. You can get a line on me easilly from a lot of people in the southeast. LOL.
 
If we want a semi-accurate idea of how well everyone plays why don't some of you participate in the Drivermaker Invitational? I know it's not the best way to compare our games because we all play on different equipement but it would at least give us a ballpark idea of how well other posters on the board shoot.

Anyways, I'm definitely not gonna brag about my game I'm OK but not top 100 on the board, not top 200, not oh never mind you get my drift!

Some of the top shooters on this board (non-pro) IMO would be Jimmy M, TheOne, Rude Dog, and Mikko Jantti.

The funny thing is, when a player is approached in a ph and asked how he's playing, the player will come back with, "Man, I haven't been hittin' em at all lately. I can't play a lick. Give me the last two and I'll try ya some cheap ok?"

Am I right or wrong?

All players are not like that. It is like that for a lot of people. I have been asked for weight by pro players before and they had no idea who I was and had never seen me hit a ball. But thats how pool is.

Well, your right. In my case if/when I say that its true. Of course its used so much that I don't expect anyone to believe me. I'd never lie. Lets play some cheap (not directed at you personally) if I win, I'll give the weight back. Hell if I win I'll spot you. :D

Pool i would guess a strong "B" player......... and in 3 cushion billiards i would rate myself an "A" player with the pro's being something like triple "A"' (AAA). now if i only had the time to get my game back in shape.........mike

Actually Sam, I was trying to be funny. However, this kind of response is almost a habitual one from many players. They will say this without even thinking about it. It's just an automatic response for many players, at least that's my observation.

Rod,

I think that the difference between you and some players is that you're a sportsman. You want the challenge of a good match. Some players could care less about the challenge, they just want the cash and they'll do what they need to do to get it, including lying and stalling.

To comment your top shooter selection, I'd Jimmy M: definitely, The One: definitely, Rude Dog: as far as I know, definitely, the 4th guy: nah, he sucks, seen him play, I'd give him the 7,8 and the breaks. :rolleyes:

I think there are at least a few lurkers in the background who could give trouble any player any day, but they prefer stay nameless.
