not in a barn
i buy gold and silver coins at my jewelry store, and this old guy comes in about every month when his money gets short, he wants just enough money, usually about 15 - 20 bucks, so he can go to the local taveren for a few beers. he does this for over a year, he comes in one day and hands me couple old worn out silver coins and i pay him the scrap value of the silver, and toss the coins on my desk.
couple months later i am rounding up scrap silver to send to the refinery, and remember the old junk i bought from him. i start to toss the coins in the scrap bag and notice the date on the half dollar, i do a double check and put the coin on ebay, it brings $802.00 for a coin i bought for scrap.
