For the life of me I can not get a good radius with the Williards.

Try another one. It is possible that one came down the line with too much glue that is holding the abrasive material on the inside.
Mine have always been spot on. :smile:

Hi Az'ers
I lost my favorite tip tool for shaping my tip to a dime radius and have gotten a few other tools and I am not happy yet either that don't shape straight(probably me not holding them straight or they do a sucky job. Any help would be great!!

I never found the need to reshape my tip that much after it's installed. Most of the work is burnishing the sided to get rid of mushrooming every so often and roughing up the top a bit. Moving the tip around and getting some practice in it should make shaping evenly work.

The tool I use is the Ultimate Tip Tool http://www.ulti-matecuetiptool.com/ http://www.pooldawg.com/product/ultimate-tip-tool (or it's cheaper Chinese knock off), although I discovered that the burnisher V notch is too wide to work on a small diameter tip. Works great on my 12.75 tip but not on my son's which is closer to 12mm.

This one worked well, my son had one he got as a prize from his league, lost is after 3 uses hehe. Solid hunk of metal this.
