I see it all the time and was just wondering what the general consensus was?
Player A beats Player B out of $100 at $10/game, but Player B says that if they were betting X amount, he would definately beat Player A.
Player A beats Player B in races to 7, 9 ball, but Player B says that if they played races to 15 he would never lose.
Player A doesn't gamble but beats Player B in every tournament they play in. Player B says if they gamble he would win every time.
(personally, I think Player B has some issues, but back to the topic)
You can take any of the examples above and modify them to extremes, such as betting $500, $5000 or $50,000 a set, or races to 100 or more, but the same thing applies.
Why can't people take being beat to the point that they have to discredit their opponent for some benign reason?
Do any of you have guidelines you base your opinions on or are they random and case specific?
