Green Fees, or Stuffing Quarters, or Dollar Bills into the Bar Box Per Game. I noticed recently there seems to be a trend out side the Valley in some of the larger tournament to have like a $7.00-$10.00 Green Fee spread among all the player, verses stuffing quarters, or dollar bills all night in a Bar Box.

Green's Fees

I prefer paying the green's fee. It seems like every tournament I get into, mostly 75 cents per rack/race to 9, I pay at least $ 40.00 to $60.00 before I get knocked out. Sometimes, when I place, the winnings just barely cover the total expense. (course, I play for the enjoyment, not trying to make money).

Green fees are leading the vote.

Yeah, you are definately the previously banned Pool Sleuth. I love your reason for editing "Poor Speler". That's got Pool Sleuth written all over it.

Oh, and I prefer Greens Fees.

I always go 2 and out also, but I like green fees because I am lazy.

Wooohoooo, my first AZB post!!!!!! Nice when you remember your password.

Yes. Quarters seem to be doing about as well as Giuliani.

I seen a person dump $40.00 in quarters in a Bar Box, Pay an Entry Fee, finish just out of the $$, and go home with ZIP.

GREEN FEES RULE:D

Yeah, Giuliani is not going to finish just out of the money.

I'm heading to a tournament this weekend. my birthday is next week and a friend of mine asked me what I wanted for my birthday. He gave me a choice of a bag full of dollar coins or a gift from his upcoming trip to Reno. I chose the coins. We expect to do well, that means we'll be plugging a lot of tables.

I much prefer green fees.

.75 a game? Where do you play? In my part of the world, everything is 1.25 to 1.50 per game.

Green fees of course, are best. In my area, in larger venues (regional tournaments), (BCA, VNEA, ACS, or casino and the like), it's always pay as you go. (outside of poolrooms), thats how they make their nut and then some.

Every place is Phoenix is .50 a game and 90% of those tourney are split quarters so it ends up costing .25 a game. The only place that is .75 a game is Alexander's which has 7 foot diamonds. The weekly tournaments there are loser pays and loser breaks.

Hmmm... let's see, standing in line for 5 minutes for a change machine that runs out as soon as you get there, adding another five lbs to my cue case with containers full of quarters... I'll go with green fees.
