When you changed to a LD shaft ?

A couple years ago I switched to a 314 from a regular shaft and I remember it taking quite a while to adjust and get used to it. And then the same thing happened when I upgraded to a 314 2. I played with it for a while, but then switched back to a regular shaft. Around Dec '09 I switched again to a Tiger X shaft, I needed no adjustment time and I'm playing the best I ever have. The shaft has a Killer Medium on it right now, but I prefer the Tiger Everest that was on the 314 2. I just haven't gotten around to switching tips yet.

Did you get the same tip or a different one?
How long did it take to adjust your shooting to it?

I shot with one for 3 hours today and I sucked badly. The tip is harder than my triangle on my regular shaft. The tip dia. is smaller. Of course the more I missed the more I got pissed.
Thanks

The smaller diameter tip will most likely cause you to inadvertently put more english on the shot. But then the hard tip should have offset that somewhat.

I went to a softer tip and it put a lot more english on my shots and it took me about 6 months to get used to it.

I think you have changed too many variables to determine exactly what the problem is.

Give it a little time. Your subconscious mind will sort everything out after a few days and you'll be back to your old rack running self in no time. I don't know what OB uses, but the Everest tip on the Predator shaft is hard to beat. My only other choice for that shaft would be a Moori (high end) or a Triangle (low end).

Hussa,

in my opinion the biggest advantage from laminated shaft is, that you re able to use a lower speed/acceleration using english to receive the same result. The more acceleration/speed you re giving, the less accouracy you ll have in your stroke. That s all for me.
Its all about your own subjective feeling what feels better for you. And if you changed from a *oldschool* shaft to a LD shaft it takes time for sure. You can t beat your subconcious mind :-)

You can be a champion with each cue and each shaft-

The tip on mine is a Wizard.
