Ebay used to be flooded with SW's...sometimes 5 @ one time. Where are they now? Perhaps it's due to the fact that the market is down? Nobody wants to take a hit on their prices. Is the SW trend over with?

My take on things

I think with the market being slow and still in summertime for most of the country that cue sellers are holding off on listing cues for sale. I too have a few cues for sale such as a Mottey, Predator, Phillippi and Lambros. I would rather hold the cues for sale at a later date and better market rather than sell them at give away pricing.

I don't think the SW trend is over, but cue sales slump in the summer months. I've bought and sold cues for years and i've never seen the market this slow for cues and I think a lot of people have realized this and they are holding onto their cues until things pick up with the economy which will give the cue market a boost, I hope!

Probably because 1 in 5 were actually SWs and even fakes have a slow season :D

I have no idea about the number of cues for sale at any one time on Ebay or elsewhere. I do know that South West builds an excellent cue. I've owned and played with a few over the years. There is a good deal of demand and a wait on a new order that is now approximately 9 years. I don't forsee any price slippage for SW now or in the future as long as the production rate stays at about the same level it is now. The summer time is traditionally the worst time to market a cue.

I agree...SW is the best built/playing cue that i have ever owned.

...I own two at this time, and was thinking of parting with them, but i think i will wait for December to see if the market picks up.
